Step 1: Create A Google Analytics

Here, you will need to make a GA4 Event Tag. For that, you have to first go to the Google Tag Manager. Click on Tags, then New. You can give a name to your GA4 Event Tag. Afterwards, select GA4 Event and go to the Configuration tag. Select the Google Analytics: GA4 Configuration Tag. You can give a name to your event in the section Event Name which will be visible on the GA4 reports.

Step 3: Preview All Changes

It is important to give check the recorded data. To do so, click on Preview. Then you can select Sign up for the newsletter.

Step 2: Create A Trigger

Creating a trigger will allow users to reach where you want them to reach. To make a trigger, go to the triggering box and click on + located at the top. Now give a name to your trigger. If you want, you can add some conditions to send your event. Again, to send your event, different button labels can differ. However, to add a condition to your event, you have to the Trigger Configuration box, select All Elements, and then Some Clicks. Now, you can set the trigger conditions. You will need to click on Text that has a Sign-Up option for the newsletter. Lastly, you have to save the changes. A Page View Trigger can be helpful for events to trigger if anyone views the page.

Now, it is time to add the Facebook Pixel to the Google Tag Manager. For that, we have to log into the GTM workspace. Then click on Tags > New. Afterwards, give a name to your Pixel and select the “Custom HTML” tag type. You have to paste the code that you have copied into the HTML section. Or you can simply go back to the Facebook Event Manager to copy the code. Now, select your pixel and the “Install code manually”. Make sure you have copied the entire pixel code and paste it on the Custom HTML tag. Lastly, choose All Pages Trigger and press on the blue Save button.
